英才盃——STEAM教育挑戰賽

由本會主辦「英才盃 STEAM 教育挑戰賽」(簡稱「英才盃」)今年已進入第八屆,這項一年一度的賽事旨在讓學生發揮創意、提升動手創作和解難能力,同時使學生從比賽過程中學習團隊協作精神。本屆英才盃的主題為「飛行器的設計、裝配及飛行」,設有初賽及決賽。學校老師須按大會之賽規及大會提供的電容滑翔機套裝,於3月20日至6月30日期間自行舉辦校內初賽。 校內初賽之優勝隊伍將代表學校參加決賽。

Competitors:All secondary school students in Hong Kong
Team composition:Each team must have three students from the same school, but different grades are allowed.

Precautions:
1. The school shall send at least 4 teams of students and the teacher in charge shall organize the preliminary competition within the school itself according to the requirements of the conference;
2. The participation fee is free of charge. If the school fails to submit the relevant entry materials as required by the conference, the school will regard the school as withdrawing from the competition, and the school must pay for the materials for the preliminary competition.
3. The organizer reserves the right to amend the competition rules without prior notice. In case of any disputes, the decision of the organizer shall be final.

"The 7th Elite CupSTEMThe Education Challenge will be divided into preliminary rounds and final rounds. Contestants need to use bamboo sticks, rubber rings, cotton ropes and other materials to make models for the competition. Complete the preliminaries designated by the conference in the school, and the team with the best results in the preliminaries will advance to the finals on behalf of the school and accept more difficult challenges.
Preliminary theme:Load capacity. Each participating school will hold it in the school according to the requirements of the conference, and compete for the limit load of each model.
Final theme:Seismic ability. at the Hong Kong Science Park. The participating teams need to complete the model making on the spot, which will be used to bear the weight and accept the test of the vibration table.

The "Excellence Cup - STEM Education Challenge (Secondary Category)" is divided into a preliminary round and a final round. The conference will provide each team with bamboo sticks, rubber bands, bean bags and other materials. Students use the materials provided by the conference, develop their creativity, and work with their team members to design and make a lever fort, and complete the preliminaries designated by the conference in the school by projecting distance through the competition. The team with the best results in the preliminary round will advance to the final on behalf of the school, accepting more difficult challenges and striving for good results.

Competition content and rules
- The competition time is one hour and is divided into three parts: production, range and accuracy.
- Part 1 - Making the Roman Cannon Mount:Each person independently makes a Roman gun mount with the materials provided by the conference, with a time limit of 20 minutes.
- Part II - Range Distance:Each person in the group takes turns to compete, according to the numberorderEach person fires two small bean bags within 1 minute for a limited time.The score is divided by the distance area line, and the point where the entire bean bag stops shall prevail; if the bean bag stays on top, the area with the lower score shall prevail.A score of zero is awarded if the entire small bean bag has left the long range.No part of the Roman mount should extend beyond the firing line or space above, including before and after firing.The final score for this part is the launch with the higher score.
Competition content and rules
- The competition time is one hour and twenty minutes, and is divided into two parts: making and picking up objects.
- Part 1 - Making the Robot Arm:
- Each person independently makes a robotic arm with the materials provided by the conference, with a time limit of 1 hour.
- Double-sided tape cannot be exposed to any part of the robotic arm.
- Part II - Pickup Test:
- Each person in the group takes turns to compete, according to the numberorderEach player can pick up the objects on the competition area board within 1 minute, and then put the whole object into the trash can next to the score.
