It aims to cultivate students who love scientific research, realize their research dreams, and provide appropriate training for young scientific talents in Hong Kong.
The "Mentor Mentoring Program" aims to cultivate students who love scientific research, realize their research dreams, and provide suitable training for young scientific talents in Hong Kong. According to the research interests and topics of the students, the program will match experts, scholars, researchers or inventors in the field as mentors, and conduct exchange activities for 20 hours or more. Students have the opportunity to visit different scientific research institutions for academic knowledge exchange. Many of the previous plan participants have successfully devoted themselves to scientific research or even won invention awards in international competitions, which shows the fruitful results of the plan.
1. According to the research topics of the students, pair experts, scholars, researchers or inventors in the field as mentors, and provide opinions for the research of the students;
2. The methods and skills of research are taught by professional tutors to increase the scientific research ability of students;
3. Students have the opportunity to represent Hong Kong in mainland and international science competitions and compete with young scientists from all over the world.
1. Pay attention to basic etiquette, such as: punctual, polite;
2. Must take the initiative to contact the tutor, at least twice a month;
3. Must complete at least 20 hours of communication activities with the tutor during the planning period, in the form of: physical or online meeting, email, telephone or using communication software (such as Whatsapp, WeChat), etc.
4. The completed research report and research progress record book must be submitted before August 31, 2021.
The "Mentor Mentoring Scheme" is now open for applications.
