第22屆全國青少年科技創新大賽已於本年7月30日至8月5日在雲南省昆明市國際會展中心舉行，有來自全國各地35支代表隊的538名優秀青少年及70名科技教師參加，同時邀請了來自美國、德國、丹麥、匈牙利、印度、韓國、日本7國的39名青少年與教師帶同他們的科研成果，參與是次盛會。
本屆賽事香港代表隊共取得一等獎6名、二等獎12名、三等獎10名及其他獎項共42項。本會科學創意中心更榮獲省級優秀組織獎，成績令人鼓舞！為表揚香港老師及學生的成果，並向社會大眾推廣是項活動，本會科創中心於10月6日假香港科學館演講廳舉行「第22屆全國青少年科技創新大賽」暨「第7屆中國青少年機器人競賽」香港區頒獎典禮，並很榮幸邀得利銘澤黃瑤璧慈善基金委員利承武先生及香港科技大學副校長黃玉山教授共同主禮。

The National Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition (hereinafter referred to as the "National Competition") is the largest youth science and technology innovation competition in the country, aiming to cultivate young people's innovative spirit and practical ability. There are millions of entries each year, which are selected and judged by the science and technology associations of various provinces and cities across the country. Only more than 500 outstanding students and nearly 90 science and technology teachers from 35 provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions and special administrative regions across the country can participate in the general evaluation and award ceremony held from July to August every year. The general evaluation and award ceremony of each session are held in different cities in China. Every year, the center selects the most outstanding scientific research works in Hong Kong and organizes a team from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to participate in this national science competition.
