• Must be a student of a school registered in Hong Kong.
• 2018-19學年中三至中六全日制學生，必須於1999年5月1日或以後出世。
• Participants can participate in individual projects or group projects (2-3 people).
Competition content
「英特爾國際科學與工程大獎賽」（簡稱Intel ISEF）始辦於1950年，是全球最大規模的中學生科學競賽，每年於美國不同城市舉行，並吸引來自世界各地超過70多個國家和地區的逾1700名高中生參與競賽並展示其發明與研究。本會自2003年起開始帶領香港學生參與此國際賽事，自此成為此賽事之香港特別行政區獨家承辨機構。當中，有逾10位香港中學生因在這項賽事獲得二等獎或以上，獲國際天文學聯合會以他的名字命名「小行星」，讓他們成為「星之子」、「星之女」。
