The aim of this scheme is to nurture a group of bright and dedicated science students from secondary schools, some of whom have participated and excelled in various large scale science competitions. In this program we will invite academics and experts from different universities or science related fields in Hong Kong to act as mentors for these gifted students and conduct communication activities of 20 hours or more. Participants will have the opportunity to visit different scientific research institutions to exchange academic knowledge. Many of the participants of the previous projects have successfully devoted themselves to scientific research or even won awards for inventions in international competitions, showing the fruitful results of the project.
Target
F.1-F.6 students (could be individual or group which no more than 3 ppl in a group)
Features of the scheme
1. According to the students' research topics, match experts, scholars, researchers, or inventors in the field as mentors, and provide opinions for the students' research.
2. Research methods and techniques taught by professional tutors to increase students' research capabilities.
3. Students will have the opportunity to represent Hong Kong to participate in Mainland and international science competitions, and to compete with young scientists from all over the world.
